Meeting our Initial Goal

The Saint Rose School Endowment Fund was created in 1990 as a vehicle to increase our Saint Rose teachers’ salaries and to fund special projects. The goal was to raise $1 million. Thanks to our generous parishioners and a special opportunity, that goal has been reached.

In 2000, our parishioners pledged more than $500,000 to Saint Rose School Endowment Fund over a three year period. Based on those pledges and contributions, the Gorski Family Foundation matched the $500,000, allowing us to reach the $1 million goal.

Covering Short-Term Needs

Saint Rose School and its dedicated staff have served our parish families since 1867. The cost to educate our children continues to rise, and our Saint Rose parents cover a substantial portion of the rising tution cost.

Income earned from the Saint Rose School Endowment Fund will help cover the costs to educate a Saint Rose School student for the short-term while the principal of the fund remains intact.

In order for Saint Rose School to continue to offer a quality Catholic education, the Saint Rose School Endowment Fund must grow so income earned can support the school while the fund’s principal remains intact.

Future Needs

We are blessed to have dedicated teachers and staff at Saint Rose School. Unfortunately, there is a significant gap between the salaries of our Saint Rose teachers and their public school counterparts. Our teachers face growing financial needs, and many must leave Saint Rose School to seek more competitive wages. Income earned from the Endowment Fund is currently being used to close this salary gap, but more needs to be done.

Endowment Fund income is also being used to offer tuition assistance for the needy; to support special projects, such as improving our school’s technology; and to provide a Catholic High School Scholarship to a graduating Saint Rose 8th grade student.
